Minister bids fond farewell

A popular minister has bid farewell to Gornal as he heads for pastures new. After serving in and through the Gornal Methodist Churches for the last seven years, Rev Stephen Levett is now taking up the invitation to serve in a new location. Steve commented ' I have enjoyed the time in Gornal, and the wider Dudley and Black Country area. I will miss the down to earth and friendly nature of the people. I have also been particularly grateful for the strong commitment of the congregations I have served in ensuring that the churches remain vibrant and continue to contribute much that the local community values. I hope and trust I have brought something to this great ongoing witness.' Whilst naturally saddened to be leaving, and overwhelmed by the generous gifts presented to himself and the family at their farewell services on July 25th, he is also looking forward to the challenge and opportunities presented in his new appointment in Bromsgrove and Redditch.
